A blessed relic of the Morninglord, this chain whip is made of consecrated silver and has been passed down through generations of undead hunters. It eventually found it's resting place in the lands of Barovia when it's previous owner met their match in the vampire lord, Strahd.
You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.
The Undead Killer has 5 charges. When you make an attack with this weapon, you can choose to expend 1 or more of its charges to imbue the attack with the effects of the searing smite or thunderous smite (both save DC 15), the sound created by the latter spell is that of a whip cracking. For 1 charge, you imbue the weapon with the 1st-level version of either spell. You can increase the spell slot level for each additional charge you expend. Creatures that are fiends or undead have disadvantage on saving throws against spell effects made by the Undead Killer.
Proficiency with a Whip allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
