You hear a faint growl when you pick up this weapon. The staff is made from dark wood with dark golden metallic rings on the ends and a bright red cloth wrapped around it. In the center of the staff a dull red tear-shaped orb sits surrounded by intricate curved wooden ornamentation. There are scratch marks on the staff that serve as grips on the wood, and when you enter combat these scratch marks glow ever so faintly with an orange-red colour.
You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
When you make an unarmed strike following an attack with the staff against the same creature spectral claws rake the enemy for an additional 1d4 slashing damage.
The staff has 3 charges and it regains all its charges at dawn. You can use a bonus action to use one of the following:
Tiger's Roar (1 Charge). You roar at an enemy creature. The enemy creature must make a DC Wisdom 15 saving throw or it is frightened for 1 minute. A frightened creature can reroll the save at the end of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
