The use must hold this lens up to their eye to see through it and use it.  Once the lens is in use it allows Vajra, the Blackstaff to observe what the user is seeing.  The lens only acts in one direction and does not allow communication with Vajra, the Blackstaff.  Additionally, while looking through the lens you have the effects of Detect Magic active and you sense the presence of magic within 30 feet of you. If you sense magic in this way, you can use your action to see a faint aura around any visible creature or object in the area that bears magic, and you learn its school of magic, if any.

3 times per day, while looking through it, you can cast the Scrying spell (save DC 17) or the Clairvoyance spell.  The lens recharges at dawn every day.
