Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement by a Paladin)

You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. You also get three uses of the spell Hunter's Mark per long rest. 

While you hold the drawn sword, it creates an aura in a 10-foot radius around you. You and all creatures friendly to you in the aura have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. If you have 17 or more levels in the paladin class, the radius of the aura increases to 30 feet.

The Black Blades are given to few who serve as the Justicars of Tyr. Tyr is said to give his most devoted a blade to bring their enemies to a bloody death, and grow with their wielder. 

Tolacharn was used by the first who was a Vengent, Etar Rhokdohr, a paladin of Tyr, and the first ever to break his oath. The blade was weilded by Etar in his crusade of Tyrian worshippers, and it was his own blade which caused his death. Executed by the other Justicars on the steps of Wistriaxar, Tyr's domain. 

This blade is said to damn the wielder to a life of bloodshed, with the promise of extreme power. 

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
