"Amidst the chaos of battle, a Bard stands tall, wielding a lute of polished ochre wood adorned with exquisite purple and pink line work. They begin to play a sorrowful tune, their movements graceful and fluid as they weave between clashing swords and splintering shields. As the fighting rages around them, the lute begins to emanate a brilliant purple aura that grows brighter by the moment. With the song's crescendo, a bolt of chaotic energy blasts forth from the lute, engulfing a Kobold in its path and continuing down the narrow passageway, taking down a row of 13 more. The Bard winces, falling to their knees, their chest gripped in pain. They have won this battle, but at what cost?"
Once per long rest, a Bard who is attuned to this lute can cast 'Sung from the Soul' as an Action.
Sung from the Soul
Whilst playing a sorrowful song, time slows. You can move your full distance without provoking opportunity attacks from enemies. At the end of the song, arcane energy emanates from the end of the lute before a purple bolt explodes outwards forming a line 120ft long and 5ft wide in a direction they choose. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 2d8 x PC Level of force damage. The target is disintegrated if this leaves them with 0 hit points.
A disintegrated creature and everything it is wearing and carrying, except magic items, are reduced to a pile of fine gray dust. The creature can be restored to life only by means of a true resurrection or a wish spell.
This spell automatically disintegrates a Large or smaller nonmagical object or a creation of magical force. If the target is a Huge or larger object or creation of force, this spell disintegrates a 10-foot-cube portion of it. A magic item is unaffected by this spell.
On a successful save, the target takes half the damage.
When the spell is completed, you will also take half the damage as the spells depletes your life force in it's use.
