Found in what appeared to be some kind of flesh golem abandoned in some lab. An ancient rune bearing strange infernal markings. Where it originally came from or from who, is unknown.
Once the rune has fused itself with its host they gain the following benefits/banes.
- Filled with a never ending hunger. No matter what or how much is consumed. You always hunger for more... After consuming any kind of food/flesh disadvantage on constitution saving throws for the next hour.
- When the flesh of a creature or humanoid is consumed gain the following- Choose one feature of that creature or person to take upon yourself. Example if you consume a creature with large muscles, or wings. You can choose to gain those features. Muscles being advantage on strength saves. Wings granting 30 ft fly speed. You can only take on one aspect at a time. The aspect lasts until a long rest is taken. Up to DM discretion.
- The rune hungers for things other than flesh... like power. Once per long rest you can consume the magical essence of an enchantment or spell. Counter or dispel the effect of 1 spell/enchantment. Doing so fills the bearer with malice, and the desire for more and more power.
Notes: After taking time to study the rune it imbeds itself into one's flesh. Or one could consume it themselves..
