The Wonderous Journal is a rare and useful item that possesses a number of useful features. Initially developed by a sect of assassins named the Pol Scara, with their destruction a small handful have found their way into the hands of adventurers and collectors. It appears as a slender book, bound in dark brown leather with a clasp

Each possesses the following functions:

Preservation - No completed page of the book can be removed, damaged, modified or erased except by the owner, except with a Wish spell.  Additionally, despite it's slim size, it seems to possess as many pages as are required of it, and any specific page can be found intuitively by the owner.

Security - None but the attuned owner are capable of seeing the contents of the journal without permission. Permission can be granted selectively by both page and by intender viewer. To those who don't have permission, a concealed page appear blank, or as something innocuous such as mundane notes on the weather, a short poem or quick sketches of everyday things. If the owner dies, the security remains in place, and to a new owner the journal will appear blank and unused.  

Dictation - The journal can take dictation of speech the user in their own handwriting. Additionally, it can take dictation of multiple people within earshot of the journal for up to ten minutes.

Copying - With the use of a command word, the journal can duplicate non-magical images and text from books, scrolls and other devices. This takes 1 action to perform in combat. It can only copy one page per use. Trying to use this of items such as spell scrolls, spellbooks or other powerful magic texts results in a page resembling many coloured marbling. 

Sharing - If the owner knows another owner of a Wonderous Journal, they can write or draw on a page and have it simultaneously appear in the other journal, accessible only to the owner. This feature can only be used once per long rest.
