This item is a length of wire attached to two handles, typically made of metal or wood. Used as a strangulation device, as well as a method of assassination, it adds a +3 to attempts to grapple and maintain a successful one. During your turn, you are not able to use your hands to cast spells or take the Attack action if you have a hostile creature grappled this way except to make unarmed strikes. At the end of your turn, ifyou have the creature grappled, you can grind the wire tighter and deal 3d8 slashing damage.
