This raw, crude armor is crafted from the plates that make up the exoskeleton of an Ankheg soldier. It's rugged gray color may make it seem worthless, but a closer look reveals a strong enchantment placed upon the leather bands that hold it together.

This armor is magically enchanted and crafted from the thick carapace of an Ankheg soldier, and it was made for Druids. Once worn, the wearer's AC becomes 12+his or her Dexterity modifier. Additionally, if the wearer transforms using the Wildshape class feature, the armor reshapes itself to fit the new form, and the new form's AC increases by 2.

Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.
