Weapon (longsword), very rare (requires attunement)

With a command word (free action), this blade crackles with electrical energy.
When energized, this longsword adds 1d4 lightning to any damage rolls.
It is so light that it adds +1 to hit and +1 the wielder's initiative.
Also, if it hits metal armour, it will inflict an extra 1d4 lightning damage.
The sword can be used to ignite regular flammable materials.
It can also absorb lightning strikes, adding +2 to saving throws vs lightning damage if drawn. If the wielder has the sword drawn and makes the saving throw, then the wielder will not suffer half damage, but suffers no damage at all.
When energized, this blade sheds dim light in a 20-foot radius.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
