Armor (shield), legendary (requires attunement by a lawful evil)

Tiamat's Rebuke is a Unique Dragon Shield.  A pinwheel design depicting the five-headed queen of the evil chromatic dragons is engraved across the face of the shield.  Crushed gemstone fill each engraved dragon giving them there propper colors(200 gp worth of white diamond, blue sapphire, green emerald, red ruby, and black opal).  An inscription along the edge of the shield reads thus "Many mouths speak your hunger into this world, mistress. Let me be the loudest."

Tiamat's Rebuke is certainly a shield intended for use by a physical fighter. With added elemental damage and it boosts all of a user's resistances by a moderate amount.  (at dawn roll a d6 {reroll 1s} you get a 50% resist to 1-5 elemental damage types and 25% resist to the rest)  In addition each hit with a melee type weapon deals an unconditional 40%  (assuming your damage per hit was a 2d6 that would equal 7 fire, 7 ice, 7 poison, 7 electricity, and 7 acid damage with every hit)

At the beginning of entering the Faerûnian pantheon,Tiamat realized they would need an artifact of immense power.  To equip her champion and take the fight to the realms.  Such an artifact came in the form of a shield "Tiamat's Rebuke" Designed by a convert from the Cult of the Dragon forged the shield over a period of weeks, as smiths hammered and mages chanted, feeling their sanity slipping all the while. The shield was completed, but was marred by the dark methods used to complete it slowly corrupted the user.

  • 25% resist to all damage types
  • 10-23 elemental damage added to melee damage
