This slightly curved shortsword has an edge that is so sharp that it casts a slight bluish metallic sheen noticeable up to 6 feet away and it makes a quiet, but sharp whooshing sound when slashed through the air.
You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon when wielded.
Upon attunement, when this weapon is used, it conveys advantage on initiative rolls.
Additionally, as a bonus action the sword may be used to cast the Thunderwave spell once. This feature is recharged with a long rest.
Thunderwave (for reference): A wave of thunderous force sweeps out from you. Each creature in a 15-foot cube originating from you must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d8 thunder damage and is pushed 10 feet away from you. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn't pushed. In addition, unsecured objects that are completely within the area of effect are automatically pushed 10 feet away from you by the spell's effect, and the spell emits a thunderous boom audible out to 300 feet.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
