A legendary cittern, restored to its former glory. It is carved from light-colored, sonorous wood that glows faintly with an inner warmth. Gleaming silver inlays on the front and side of the body depict ancient greatwyrms of Arcis. A creature that attempts to play the instrument without being attuned to it must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or take 4d4 psychic damage.
Wyrmsong has 7 charges, and it regains 1d4+3 charges daily at dawn. You can use an action to play the instrument, spend an appropriate number of charges, and cast one of the following spells:
2 Charges: Erupting Earth, Fear, Fly, Lightning Bolt, Tidal Wave
3 Charges: Legend Lore, Wall of Fire
Once the instrument has been used to cast a spell, it can’t be used to cast that spell again until the next dawn. The spells use your spellcasting ability and spell save DC.
A bard who is attuned to the instrument can use it as a spellcasting focus. If use the instrument to cast a spell that causes any of its targets to be charmed on a failed saving throw, the target has disadvantage on the save.
