Lighting one of these matches is a standard action. Each two-inch sturdy twig is coated with an alchemical paste that ignites when struck against a rough surface.

The matches come in a set of 10, stored in a small waxed paperboard box with a rough sandpaper edge for striking. Once lit, the match burns for up to 20 seconds, shedding dim light in a five-foot radius and can be used to light candles, lanterns, pipes, or other small objects. The flame is resilient against wind and water.

Matches can also be thrown up to 10 feet. Each charge represents one match, and the set can be sold for 2 GP per remaining match.
