Weapon (spear), legendary (requires attunement by a a warrior, monk, priest or paladin.)

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon against ordinary foes. 

If Wuhoong's Divine Spear is wielded against an ancient creature, demigod or godly creature, you have  +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. The weapon provides the following benefits in such a combat:

  • Thrown: The spear can be thrown up to 120 feet. It magically returns to the wielder's hand after each throw.

  • Unbreakable Bond: The wielder of the Divine Spear cannot be disarmed of this weapon while they are conscious. Additionally, the spear cannot be removed from the wielder's grasp by any means, including magical effects such as disarm spells or forced drops

  • Wuhoong's Wrath: When you hit a creature of a divine nature (such as a deity, demigod, or celestial) with this weapon, the creature takes an additional 1d10 radiant damage. This damage ignores resistance and immunity.

  • Radiant Light: The Divine Spear emits bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. You can extinguish or rekindle the light as a bonus action.

  • True Strike: As a bonus action, you can focus the spear’s energy to gain advantage on your next attack roll with it. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

  • Celestial Bane: When you deal damage to a celestial with the Divine Spear, that creature cannot regain hit points until the start of your next turn.

  • Divine Retribution: you can channel your energies into a final strike (or throw). You drop to 0 points and are dying after the attack, but your actual hit points count as a bonus to the damage, and if the attack is a hit, it counts as a critical.

  • Planar Travel: Twice per week, you can use the Divine Spear to cast the Plane Shift spell, targeting only yourself and up to five willing creatures within 10 feet of you.

 The weapon can be attuned by a creature with Good or Neutral alignment only.

Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
