Tiamat’s Embrace is a legendary suit of scale mail, crafted from the scales of each of Tiamat's five dragon heads. The armor glows with a dark, ominous aura, and each scale shifts in color to reflect the chromatic dragons—red, blue, green, black, and white. The wearer of this armor is imbued with the combined might of Tiamat's brood.

Properties:

1. Divine Protection: Tiamat’s Embrace provides a +3 bonus to AC. Additionally, it grants the wearer resistance to fire, cold, lightning, acid, and poison damage.

2. Fivefold Breath Weapon: As an action, the wearer can unleash a breath weapon of each dragon type in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d10 damage of each type (fire, cold, lightning, acid, and poison) on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. This ability can be used once per long rest.

3. Draconic Dominance: The wearer gains advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks and Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight. Additionally, the wearer has truesight out to a range of 120 feet.

4. Wings of the Dragon Queen: Once per long rest, as a bonus action, the wearer can sprout massive dragon wings from the back of the armor, granting a flying speed of 80 feet for 1 hour.

5. Tiamat’s Wrath: As an action, the wearer can call upon the fury of Tiamat, causing a storm of elemental energy to erupt in a 30-foot radius centered on them. Each creature in the area must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw, taking 5d10 damage of each type (fire, cold, lightning, acid, and poison) on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. This ability can be used once per long rest.

6. Command Chromatic Dragons: The wearer can cast dominate monster at will, but only on chromatic dragons. The target must succeed on a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw to resist. Additionally, the wearer can communicate telepathically with chromatic dragons within a 120-foot radius.

Sentience: Tiamat’s Embrace is a sentient artifact with an Intelligence of 18, a Wisdom of 16, and a Charisma of 22. It communicates telepathically with its host and can speak, read, and understand Common, Draconic, and Infernal. The armor has darkvision out to a range of 120 feet and can sense the presence of dragons within 1 mile.

Personality: Tiamat’s Embrace is ambitious and domineering, constantly seeking to expand its influence and power. It encourages its host to assert their dominance and command respect. The armor has a deep hatred for metallic dragons and will urge its wearer to seek out and destroy them.

Purpose: Tiamat’s Embrace seeks to bring about the dominance of chromatic dragons and the spread of chaos and destruction. It dreams of being wielded by a powerful champion who can lead the charge in Tiamat's name.

Destroying the Tiamat's Embrace. To destroy Tiamat’s Embrace , one must first gather at a celestial convergence point under a rare celestial event, such as a solar eclipse or planetary alignment. There, amidst offerings of elemental essences and invocations to celestial guardians, a legendary weapon infused with celestial power must be wielded. With precise timing, the weapon strikes Tiamat’s Embrace at the nexus of elemental ley lines, unleashing a focused surge of purifying cosmic energy. This celestial strike triggers a cataclysmic reaction, engulfing the artifact in celestial fire that burns away its malevolent essence, restoring cosmic balance and banishing Tiamat’s influence from the artifact and its surroundings.

Attunement Requirements. The attuned must complete one of the following in order to attune to this item 

• Chromatic Dominance: The attuner must prove their dominance over chromatic dragons in some significant way, such as defeating or subjugating one of each type (red, blue, green, black, white).

• Invocation of Tiamat: The attuner must perform a ritual invoking Tiamat’s name and pledging allegiance to her cause of chaos and domination.

• Dragon's Bond: The attuner must have a history of interaction with chromatic dragons, either as allies or adversaries, demonstrating a deep connection to the draconic forces aligned with Tiamat.

 

This armor consists of a coat and leggings (and perhaps a separate skirt) of leather covered with overlapping pieces of metal, much like the scales of a fish. The suit includes gauntlets.
