The Worm of Tongues is enchanted with Tounges; a spell that allows one creature to understand all spoken languages. Additionally, it allows all creatures that speak at least one language to understand the speech of the enchanted creature. The worm's magic cannot be dispelled except by means of Dispel Magic at 7th level or higher, or by similar means. The effect does not dispel unless the worm is destroyed or its magic dispelled.
The Worm of Tongues appears to be a caterpillar-like creature, that clings to the top of the helix on the target's ear. This creature has no name or will (but the players may give it a name if they please). It is immune to all damage except force. Once attached to a player, it will permanently affect the target as if Tongues were cast on the target. When the target is spoken to, the worm will tell the players a rough, possibly biased translation, and what to respond with. The target will be able to respond as if fluent in the language, and all creatures within earshot can understand. The worm can only assist the target if only one language is spoken. If more than one is being used in a single sentence, the worm will get confused and mix languages, causing an incoherent jumble of sounds that the target cannot understand or respond to. Not all translations may be 100% accurate. If the worm cannot hear or understand another creature's speech, it cannot assist the target.
