Weapon (rifle, hunting), common

The Zweihander is a large two-handed sword that has the handling characteristics of a polearm, rather than a sword due to their size and weight, therefore adding to its striking power and longer reach. Consequently, it is not carried in a sheath, but across the shoulder like that of a pike or halberd.

The zweihander is an advanced weapon that is difficult to master. It requires specialized training beyond even martial weapons training to be considered proficient. This weapon has the heavy, special, and two-handed properties and deals 2d10 slashing damage on a hit.

Special: Due to being incredibly oversized, you cannot attack more than once in a single turn with this weapon, regardless of how many attacks you could normally make, unless you have a Strength score or 20 or higher.

It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
