It can turn into:
A quarterstaff
A shield (wood) +2 Ac
Any simple or marital weapon
The quarterstaff can hold 1 level 3 spell to be cast as an action at the cost of no spell slot, once per day, or regain 1 wild shape slot.

When wild shaping it can turn into a weapon such as sharpened claws on a bear for an extra 1d8 damage.
Upon returning to humanoid form this reverts back to a Quarterstaff.
Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
