Initially crafted by a skilled artisan for a particularly tiny fairy, this violin is smaller than any other. Larger creatures have an exceedingly challenging time handling its impossibly small bow and frame, such that it can only be played with the thumb and index fingers. Only a master of the violin (i.e. a master Bard) could play a comprehensible tune on this unique instrument.

Requires a Dexterity score of at least 16 and a Charisma score of at least 18 to attune if a Medium creature. Large creatures cannot attune. Can be used as an arcane focus for Bards. Only one creature can be attuned to this item at a time. Attunement will immediately transfer to another creature if they meet the physical and mental requirements and win a flyting contest (poetic insult battle) against the current holder. Attunement grants the following benefits:

Dormant:

Adv on Charisma (Persuasion) skill checks against hostile creatures.

You can cast each of the following spells once per day without expending a spell slot or material components, provided the class and level requirements for casting the spell are met. They can be cast again using a spell slot and the required material components and do not count against spells known:

Awakened (unknown requirements):

Vicious Mockery only takes a bonus action to cast. You gain advantage on all Charisma ability checks and saving throws against hostile creatures.

You gain an additional +2 to your Charisma score to a maximum of 22.

Exalted (unknown requirements):

You can cast Power Word Kill (9th level) once per week without expending a spell slot or material components provided the class and level requirements are met.

You gain another +2 to your Charisma score to a maximum of 24.
