This greataxe was crafted with one purpose: to slay the frost giant that laid siege to the owners fort. A blacksmith, working through the night under the orders of the fort's commander, created the axe using steel tempered with the ashes of the fort’s hearth. The weapon was driven deep into the leg of the frost giant in a final defiant blow before the owner was killed.
Titan’s Blow (1/Day): The axe’s power, infused from its battle against the frost giant, can be unleashed once per day. On a successful hit, the target must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone and pushed 10 feet back. The axe strikes with such force that even creatures of immense size struggle to stand against it.
Cold Blooded: Blood from the giant has seeped into the axes blade, giving it a faint sheen of frost along its edge - on rolling a nat 20 to attack the axe deals +1d4 ice damage.
Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
