Wondrous Item, uncommon

This peculiar badge looks like a haphazard collection of gears, miniature tubes, and small crystals all pressed into a rough circular shape. A central mechanical eye constantly whirs and focuses, while tiny arms occasionally extend to adjust its own components. The back has a self-adjusting pin that can attach to any armor or clothing.

The badge has 5 charges and regains 1d4+1 charges at dawn. While wearing it, you can use the following features:

Primary Function - Victory Recording: The badge constantly records your combat achievements. When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, the badge spins excitedly and projects a small illusory replay of your finishing blow above itself for 6 seconds. The goblin artificer's voice can be heard saying "Ooooh, good one!" or "Didn't see that coming!"

Charge-Based Features:

  1. Momentous Momentum (1 charge): When you hit with an attack, you can spend 1 charge to have the badge analyze your successful strike. It creates a small burst of force energy, pushing all creatures of your choice within 5 feet of your target 10 feet away. The badge cheerfully announces "MAKING SPACE FOR THE CHAMP!"
  2. Victory Vault (2 charges): As a bonus action, you can spend 2 charges to have the badge rapidly calculate an optimal escape route. You can immediately take the Disengage action and your walking speed increases by 10 feet until the end of your turn. The badge whispers "Strategic repositioning initiated!" while small illusory arrows point out your best path.
  3. Champion's Challenge (3 charges): As an action, you can spend 3 charges to have the badge project an enlarged illusion of your most impressive recorded victory. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet must make a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of you for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the save at the end of each of its turns. The badge gleefully narrates the replay with excited commentary.

Quirky Features:

  • Randomly displays your "combat statistics" in glowing numbers, including completely meaningless measurements like "Style Points" and "Flair Factor"
  • Occasionally offers unsolicited combat advice in the goblin artificer's voice
  • When you roll a natural 20 on an attack roll, it shoots out a small burst of confetti
  • Sometimes plays a tiny fanfare when you enter a room
