Staff, legendary (requires attunement by a someone chosen by Zuggtmoy)

This staff was imbued with Zuggtmoy's tainted magic just before she was initially sealed away with the crystal flowers. The Gift was a last-ditch effort to support and power a single champion just enough to one day be able to free her. The staff uses charges to, as an action, cast spells from the below spell list. The longer an individual wields the Gift, the more mushrooms and spores begin to grow along their form. Using high level spells/using many charges quickens this physical change.

Expending more charges can up the spell slot level used to cast a spell, i.e. casting a first level spell using three charges allows the first level spell to be cast at third level. Similarly, a fourth level spell would require four charges spent to cast it. Any Melee spells are given a 15ft range, as moving the staff to cast spreads spores that can make contact with a chosen target.

Dormant - 4 Charges - +1 to Hit/Damage

Awakened - 6 Charges - +2 to Hit/Damage

Exalted - 8 Charges - +3 to Hit/Damage
