This item is the size of a playing card, and is overall unremarkable in its appearance. Once a day, it's holder can use it as a reaction to any spell being cast within 60 feet of them. The use must make a DC 15 intelligence check, and on a successful check, the can redirect the spell at the caster. This does not change ant effects of the spell, or count as the user casting a spell.
