This weapon can hardly be called an axe and more of an absurd slab of metal placed sturdily at the end of a wooden shaft. The blade is broad, spanning just about 1 foot and shapes into a wedge where it meets the handle. It seems actually rather out of place compared to the intricate rune carved handle of the thing. There are also weaving patterns that resemble Elven make. It's rumored to be an Elven Wizard's staff that was fitted crudely into an axehead after a giant killed him and stole it.
This weapon has a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls. It also deals an additional 1d6 slashing damage on a hit.
Splitting. The Woodsplitter, as its name implies, is very good at splitting. It deals double damage to Plants, Constructs, and Structures and leaves clean cuts when it cleaves through things.
Rooting. Woodsplitter has 6 charges and regains 1d4+2 charges daily at dawn. The wielder of this axe can expend 2 charges to sprout odd logs from the ground that are 5 feet in diameter and range between 5 and 20 feet in height. These can be summon in the same space as another creature as long as is it large or smaller. A large creature must succeed on a DC16 acrobatics check or fall when the log reaches its full height, remaining balanced on a success. Should a creature be crushed against a ceiling by one of these logs it must succeed on a DC16 dexterity saving throw, taking 3d8 bludgeoning damage and being restrained on a failure or taking half as much damage and not being restrained on a success. Additionally The wielder can regain charges by sticking the end of the handle in soil, regaining 1 charge for every hour it's rooted.
Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Slashing, requires attunement, Summoning, Damage, Combat, Heavy, Two-Handed, Cleave
