Weapon (longsword), very rare (requires attunement by a Must have a balanced personality between light and dark )

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Ying - The Shadow's Edge

Description: This longsword is forged from a dark, almost liquid-like metal that seems to absorb light around it. Its hilt is wrapped in black leather with a single opal set into the pommel, shimmering with an inner light that barely escapes the darkness of the blade.

Properties:

  • Attack and Damage: Ying grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.
  • Shadow Strike: Once per long rest, the wielder can activate the sword to cast shadow blade as a 3rd-level spell. While active, the sword's blade becomes ethereal and extends shadows that weave around the wielder, granting them advantage on Stealth checks in dim light or darkness.
  • Shadow's Mercy: When attacking an enemy that hasn't taken a turn in combat yet, the attack deals an extra 2d6 damage. This ability reflects the sword's affinity for striking from the darkness, catching enemies off guard.

Yang - The Lightbringer

Description: Yang is crafted from gleaming silver steel, etched with intricate designs that mimic rays of sunlight spreading across the blade. The hilt is bound in white leather, and a small diamond in the shape of a sunburst adorns the pommel, glowing softly with a warm light.

Properties:

  • Attack and Damage: Yang grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.
  • Radiant Burst: Once per long rest, the wielder can activate the sword to cast daylight. The bright light emerges from the diamond sunburst, illuminating the area in a 60-foot radius for up to 1 hour. The light is sunlight and can dispel any darkness spells of 3rd level or lower.
  • Searing Strike: When the wielder hits with an attack using Yang, they can cause the attack to deal an extra 2d6 radiant damage to the target. Additionally, if the target is an undead or a creature of darkness (as determined by the DM), it is frightened until the end of the wielder's next turn. This ability reflects the sword's theme of bringing light to darkness and symbolizes the fight against corruption and evil.
