This compass does not point North but instead guides its owner towards whatever it is that they most desire at the moment.

Curse: This item is cursed. If at any time its owner relinquishes control of it, whatever they fear most comes true (for Jack Sparrow this was the pirate hunter Armando Salazar coming back from the dead and chasing him down). Merely handing it to someone so they can use it or leaving it alone doesn't count as relinquishing control, but if its sold, stolen, destroyed or lost permanetly then it's "relinquished". You may gift it willingly without "relinquishing" it.

Notes: This item acts as a broken compass in the hands of anyone unattuned to it.
