From the first wielders of crossbows, this white ash weapon has been passed down from generation of Wild-Walker to the next--only those of the bloodline worthy to call themselves Champion are destined to wield such a powerful conduit of energy. Each wielder has imbued their knowledge and energy into this weapon, such that the current wielder may access their abilities in the heat of battle.
Ability 1 (lv 6): Elemental Ancestry—Brom’s ancestral energy can imbue the crossbow to become elemental for the round of combat. Using one bonus action, Brom can choose between Fire, Cold, Acid, Lightning, Poison, and imbue the crossbow to deal that kind of damage for the round.
Ability 2 (lv 12): Fated Sight—Brom’s tactical mind knows that the longer an enemy is allowed to live, the more dangerous it becomes. With every consecutive hit on an enemy, Brom gains a +1 to every To Hit and Damage Rolls, increasing to the max number of Attacks per Action.
Ability 3 (lv 15): Ancestral Ascendence—Brom can now call upon more elements (Thunder, Force, Psychic, Necrotic, Radiant) and can rotate elements with each shot.
Ability 4 (lv 18): Critical Transcendence--Once Per Day, Brom may declare a 20ft radius "Kill Zone". For the next 3 rounds all your successful ranged attacks on targets inside that zone are automatically converted into crits (so long as a crit is possible).
Proficiency with a Heavy Crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Push. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.
