Two Handed: This weapon requires the use of both hands. The off-hand anchors the weapon while the main hand carries the rope.

*The meteor hammer can be coiled and held in the off-hand while interacting with objects, effectively freeing 1 hand (main hand).

Whirling Defense:  When taking the Dodge action or the Patient Defense bonus action while wielding the meteor hammer, you gain a +1 bonus to your Armor Class for melee attacks made against you.

Chain Weapon: The chain of the meteor hammer can be used to ensnare enemies within 5ft. 

The chain of the meteor hammer can be used in a similar way to a net. If you target a Large or smaller creature you can use your action to make a chain attack. Roll to hit as normal.  If you hit the target, it becomes becomes grappled until it is freed. This ability has no effect on creatures that are formless (such as Oozes), or creatures that are Huge or larger. A creature can use its action to make a Strength check against your monk ability DC, freeing itself on a success.

While a target is grappled the weapon makes use of both of your hands, effectively removing the interact action. You deal no damage with this action and cannot attack until the target is released or escapes.

The target may roll another Strength check, contested against your monk ability DC, to escape at the start of its subsequent turns.
