Weapon: Martial, Melee
750gp, 150 lbs. --- 2d10 bludgeoning - heavy, two-handed, versatile (2d12), reach
Proficiency with a Whip and a two-handed weapon with the heavy property allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with the Wrecking Ball. The Wrecking Ball is a sizable metal ball attached to a long chain, an unwieldy weapon to most. This weapon requires at least 15 Strength in order to properly wield. The reach of this weapon is 10 ft., if you attack a target within 5 ft. with this weapon it deals 2d10 bludgeoning damage. Alternatively, when you attack a target that is more than 5 ft. away you deal 2d12 bludgeoning damage and the Ball section of this weapon remains stuck where you attacked. While the Ball section is stuck it counts as a small sized object that you are no longer holding. You cannot make another attack with this weapon until you retrieve it as a bonus action or by moving within 5ft. of the space it landed in and interacting with it to pick it up.
Wide Arcs: Each time you attack with the Wrecking Ball the reach of it increases by 5 ft until the start of your next turn. The second time you would attack with the Wrecking Ball during your turn it gains so much momentum that it begins to drag you off balance, you must make a DC 13 Strength check to maintain your stance. On a failure you are dragged with the weapon 5 ft. in a random direction. Regardless of either result, you then gain the Poise property.
Poise: The Poise property lasts until the start of your next turn. While you have the Poise property you cannot make another attack with the Wrecking Ball. Additionally, you have advantage on ability checks and saving throws that would move you more than 5 ft. away from your current position and if you are moved then you may use your reaction to instead be moved half the distance as you dig the weight of the Wrecking Ball into the ground.
Proficiency with a Whip allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
