Weapon (scimitar), artifact

This traditional japanese short sword, crafted by the renowned master smith Yoshindo Yoshihara.

Yoshindo claimed the sword was perfect. It was nearly alive and only time will tell if it awakens. The weapon is nearly unbreakable, receiving a +6 bonus to any saving throw. The steel has a golden sheen to it, hinting at an unknown alloy. The Tsuba displays an image of a tiger curled up and sleeping around the base of the blade. Rumors say the sleeping tiger is the soul of the blade, and when the blade awakens the spirit of the tiger will awaken as well.

This weapon is a true masterwork, its incredible balance and edge grants it a +1 to hit and an additional +2 to damage

DM Note: This is designed to be a growth-type artifact. Specific conditions may grant additional bonuses and abilities to this weapon.
This could include killing a specific creature. For example, killing a tiger with the weapon will pull the tiger's soul into the blade.
Or, perhaps the blade grows with experience points offered to it by the player. One could choose to sacrifice their own experience points to enhance the blade.

Proficiency with a Scimitar allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
