A small bone, perhaps a finger bone, inscribed with a sigil of a pair of scales held in a skeletal hand, the symbol of Kelemvor, God of the Dead. This was a gift from Patience Wraithbane, Doomguide of Kelemvor to the adventurers who returned from the Shadowfell after having recovered the bodies of children who had been taken by a witch.

“If you ever find yourself in need of my services, or need to report anything unholy in the eyes of the Lord of the Dead, break this bone and I shall find my way to you.” And her cold regard turns even more grim when she says, “I should also mention that if any of you turn to undeath while carrying this, I shall also find you.”
