This gem contains a mote of wild magic energy. When you use a bonus action to break the gem, you cause a wild magic surge and must roll a d100 to determine a random magical effect (the DM has the table of possible effects prepared) - this is triggered instantly after which the gem's magic is lost and cannot be reforged.
