This robust automatic pistol is crafted from dark steel and reinforced with oak wood. The barrel is etched with runes that glow faintly when the weapon is fired. Despite its weight, the pistol is balanced for those with the strength to wield it effectively.
+2 to Intimidation checks while attuned, reflecting the gun’s ability to instill fear and command presence through sheer firepower.
The pistol has 4 charges and regains 1d4 charges on a long rest.
Charges rounds can be used once per turn.
Scatter-Shot Burst (1 Charge)
Once per turn, you can fire a rapid burst in a 20-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, they take 2d6 piercing damage. On a success, they take half damage.
Magnum Round (2 Charges)
You can fire a single devastating shot, adding 4d6 piercing damage to your attack. If the shot hits, the target must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be pushed back 10 feet.
Suppressive Fire (1 Charge)
You unload a storm of bullets in a 20-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of your next turn, ducking for cover instinctively.
It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Bonus: Intimidation, Damage, Utility, Exploration, Combat, Range, Ammunition (Firearms), Reload
