The limbs of this gruesome bone longbow are made from a single Thunderstorm Basilisk spine, while the "string" is entirely made from sinew harvested from the creature. The bone grip has been carved, polished and wrapped with the blueish grey hide of the beast. This weapon shrinks/largens to the users size.
You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. This weapon allows the user to use the senses of the Thunderstorm Basilisk, allowing the user to see in inferred vision. This allows the user to see invisible targets.
Once per Short Rest you can call upon the lingering essence of the basilisk, imbuing an arrow with some of its petrifying power. If the arrow hits the target, the user must roll normal damage plus 1d8 lightning damage as well as 1d8 poison damage.
The arrow causes a thunderest poison effect causing the target to become paralyzed for 1 minute as well as poisoned for 1 minute. At the start of the targets next turn, the target must succeed on a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw to stop being poisoned.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
