Potion, uncommon
When you drink this potion, you gain the “enlarge” effect of the enlarge/reduce spell for 1d4 hours (no concentration required). The red in the potion’s liquid continuously expands from a tiny bead to color the clear liquid around it and then contracts. Shaking the bottle fails to interrupt this process.
Notes: Control, Utility, Consumable

Posted May 18, 2020I wonder why potion of growth is uncommon and potion of diminution is rare.

Posted May 15, 2022Are there any adverse affects to giving this to animals?
For instance, can Bear, my Goblin Barbarian (Bear Totem), feed a Potion of Growth to his Mastiff, also named Bear, to get better use of the Mounted Combatant feat?

Posted Jul 2, 2022The effects are the same for all creatures (unless they have features/traits preventing it specifically). So feed that to your pet if you want to.

Posted Aug 3, 2023RAW, if the Steel Defender is built in such a way that it can drink, I don't see why not.

Posted Jan 9, 2025No more 1d4 hours on this? I note Potion of Diminution still kept the 1d4 hours. Not sure if editing or what (the spell enlarge was always 1 minute).

Posted Jan 12, 2025Still 1d4 hours in Basic Rules 2014 and PHB 2014. This should have a Legacy version, but it seems they just updated it and haven't fixed it as not many complained about this single potion change.
I just made a note of the change if my players get one in our 2014 games as the bot gives the 2024 version.
Edit: looks like they finally noticed and fixed this. The 2024 version now has its own entry.
