Much appreciated, that did the trick. My apologies for using the incorrect nomenclature.

Hey Sposta, thanks for replying. If it's not possible to increase damage dice by spell level, how are they pulling it off with Fireball? I copied the spell and tried to study how it worked but I can't replicate the effects:

EDITING for clarity: I'm encountering two issues when attempting to make a spell:

    1. Spell attack rolls on the character sheet are not increasing per spell level, even though I've checked "At higher levels scaling," and added the proper modifiers under the table for "At Higher Levels."
      • Using the screenshots below, can anyone identify how I might be doing this incorrectly?
    2. The spell is supposed to increase with the Dexterity Modifier, but the options only include "Use Primary Stat."
      • Is there a way to use a specific stat modifier and I'm just not seeing it?

    • With all that, here's what it looks like on my character sheet. At 4th level, it should read as 5d6+3, but it's sticking with its original modifier and only adding a +2 (instead of +3 Dex for this character).
