my love for you is like a truck!
This is a CR 1 monster not a CR 2.
Preach!
It does seem a bit weak especially with only one attack, but getting Advantage on every attack roll AND saving throw, even for only about half the fight is extremely powerful.
Y'all love to bring in arbitrary things that have nothing to do with how CR is calculated. WoTC has made it a point the only things that go into CR is Defense (AC/HP) and Offense (Average DPR over 3 rounds considering everything hits or saves fail/Save DC). Thats it, nothing else determines CR. This is CR 1 enemy by WoTC standards and play tested that way too.
According to *******' D&D 2014 CR calculator, all this guy really needs is Resistance to B/P/S damage, then to nerf the Hit Dice to 6d8 to compensate, and it'll happily be CR 2. It would also emulate the Barbarian's Rage in the simplest way possible which they seem to be aiming for in D&D 2024.
I love the picture of a barbarian tribe just going into combat.
Statwise the only change is that they have their advantage when bloody and not with reckless. So half the time not available but also not getting hig by the enemy.
Overall it is still weak, was it back than but for 24 it shows even more...
It has 67 hp, which is a lot of health.
