So, any weapon can hurt them now? You don't need adamantine? I'd personally rule that they are resistant to weapon damage that doesn't come from adamantine. I don't know what adamantine weapons do in the 2024 book, but if all it does is occasionally give a damage buff against certain creatures like the silver weapons so far seem to, it doesn't seem worth it to get them.
Although, we don't know the 2024 werebeast stats, so maybe silver weapons will do something beyond what was simply reported in their own description.
I believe adamantine weapons do the same as they did in 5.14, which is autocrit attacks against objects. Looks like they increased their HP and damage output to compensate for the removal of damage immunity.
Exactly. They wanted to be sure parties could tackle any monster without NEEDING magic weapons, so this was the path they took. I'm fine with it.
Well, and that having magic weapons didn't trivialise the fight.
The issue was that you just needed magic weapons to hurt them, not specfically adamantine. If just adamantine weapons could get past their bps resistance, that I would buy. But when it was all magic weapons who could do it? No.
