Has anyone ever used a grimlock?
DDAL05-11 Forgotten Traditions uses them quite nicely.
I'm using some tonight, actually. They're going to be gathered around a crashed Illithid ship in the Underdark the players have to get into
Something's wrong here. The art is of a hairless, grey-skinned man with pink teeth and a loincloth. Where's my fire-breathing mechanical dinosaur?
Gained a climbing speed of 30ft and lost immunity to Blindness. Also lost ability to speak Undercommon.
Lost Keen Hearing and Smell, Stone Camouflage, AND Blind Senses.
Spiked Bone Club changed to Bone Cudgel. Used to deal 5(1d4+3) bludgeoning plus 2(1d4) piercing with a max damage of 11. Now, it deals 6(1d6+3) bludgeoning plus 2(1d4) psychic, with a max damage of 12.
The whole thing with Grimlocks being blind made them, in my opinion, unique. They were blind, underdark cavemen. Now, that uniqueness is taken away. Nothing a Fusion can't fix.
Fusion time! Give them back Blindness immunity and Stone Camouflage. Simple.
