Why are hyenas, which are larger and heavier than wolves IRL, a CR0 creature while wolves are CR1/4?
Spotted hyenas should be like CR1/2 at least, with the smaller brown and striped hyenas being equivalent to wolves at CR1/4. The docile aardwolves would work for CR0, since CR0 is meant for creatures that are not a meaningful threat to adventurers (small birds, lizards, cats, etc.).
