Actions
Multiattack. The dragon makes two Rend attacks.
Rend. Melee Attack Roll: +6, reach 5 ft. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) Piercing damage.
Cold Breath (Recharge 5–6). Constitution Saving Throw: DC 13, each creature in a 15-foot Cone. Failure: 18 (4d8) Cold damage. Success: Half damage.
Paralyzing Breath. Constitution Saving Throw: DC 13, each creature in a 15-foot Cone. First Failure: The target has the Incapacitated condition until the end of its next turn, when it repeats the save. Second Failure: The target has the Paralyzed condition, and it repeats the save at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. After 1 minute, it succeeds automatically.
I love this art.
New art for the baby silver is nice. Really shows their affinity for snowy environments, especially when their environment tags are MOUNTAIN and URBAN.
Lost Con and Charisma saves, as all dragons did.
Lost its Bite attack, but gained Multiattack and two Rends. Old Bite did 9(1d10+4) piercing damage, while the new Rend, which is used twice, deals the same. Paralysis breath was also changed. It used to be a recharge with a DC 13 Con save against paralysis with repeatable saves. Now, the first time someone fails, they're INCAPACITATED. After the second save, they then have repeatable saves against paralysis for 1 minute.
Overall, the new dragons are nice, but the reworked condition breath that the metallics have is brutal. I love it.
Fusion time! The only change is to restore their Con and Charisma saves. Enjoy the silver dragon.
I call their new condition breath WAY TO brutal. It bring big imbalance... Specially for young and older silver dragon, that can spamm paralyzis that might turn half if not the whole party into sitting duck and attacking the same turn. This is just toxic play at its finest at this point, not interesting ability. Recharge was here for a reason: game balance.
I'm thinking the removal of the recharge on the status breath was a mistake... the old dragons had a recharge on "breath attacks" period. It didn't distinguish b/t the cold and paralyzing breath. My group just decided/ruled that the paralyzing breath shares a recharge with the cold breath (like the old version).
Exactly what i did to, and removed the breath from the multi attack for higher cr dragons. At least its not a change to difficult to make.
