What Is Revel's End?
Revel's End is a prison located in the frigid north of the Sword Coast in a region known as Icewind Dale. The prison first appeared in Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden, where it served as a setpiece to contain the region's dangerous criminals. An impenetrable fortress carved from a tall, blade-shaped rock, Revel's End is situated on the shore of the Sea of Moving Ice, allowing it to be accessed by land, sea, or airship.
The prison is under the control of the Lord's Alliance, and they use it to house those that have committed serious crimes against the member's cities, including Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter, and Waterdeep.
Any way you look at it, Revel's End is a tough nut to crack. The unforgiving environment, total isolation, and fortress-like defenses make the prison all but impenetrable. That is, unless you know the right crew.
Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It
You've been hired to infiltrate Revel's End and extract information from one of the prison's earliest inmates, a dwarven crime boss now known as Prisoner 13. How you break into the jail and gain the intel is up to you.

Key Takeaways from the OGLden Vault
So where is the heist here? This is pretty much just a repeat of information in Rime of the Frost Maiden with an extra character
Ew stinky
It would have been nice if there was some twist to the adventure, such as you speak to the prisoner 13 and she reveals that the treasure is actually a weapon (maybe some strong air based poison that could take out a whole town) and that she was paid to transport it but when she found out what it was locked it away. Then the characters have the moral dilemma and the heist changes from talking to a prisoner, stealing some records and walking out to a jail break with options for combat and actually interesting.
Love it! Thank you!
Are you gonna steal what my players do too?
I lost a hand there once, I remember that place well.

Interesting, still screw you for ORC tomfoolery
this looks great as a supplement for ice wind dale rime of the frostmainden
This sounds exciting! Very nice. Thank you guys for the free adventure. I'm very grateful.
Nice this looks amazing
This sounds like a great idea
"Should you choose to accept it..."
No thanks. You can't buy back trust with free handouts. This won't be enough to make me renew my subscription. Nice try though.
Yeah, I'm with the last couple of guys. These "here's a freebie, come look at more," tactics are extremely transparent. There's gonna be a new reason y'all ain't making as much money, and it won't be because "undermonetization."
There's nothing stopping you changing the scenario in anyway you want.
Looks fun to play
Not everyone has RotFM.
The heist is "You've been hired to infiltrate Revel's End and extract information from one of the prison's earliest inmates".
Agree that since they are reusing a already published 5th Ed location, that WotC should have added more new material. The info about the parole hearings is irrelevant to this particular adventure, so it should have been cut to make room for new lore & characters.
Great! đź‘Ť
I know there’s nothing stopping me changing the scenario, but considering the whole book costs money it would be quite nice if some effort was put in to its creation, it shouldn’t be up to DMs to completely rewrite the story in order to make it worthwhile. Hopefully this is not an indication of the book as a whole but if Radiant Citadel is any example then it will be
