Share Your Dice Results with the Brand New Game Log!
We’re excited to announce that D&D Beyond users (desktop AND mobile app) can now share their dice roll results with other players in their campaigns. Celebrate your high rolls in real time with your friends, even if you aren’t in the same room!
Within the Game Log, you’ll see what action you or your campaign members rolled, the result of the roll plus any modifiers, and a visual of the dice set used to roll. That’s right – you can now let your party members see your character’s personality roll through with the dice set you’ve enabled!
You can find the Game Log on the character sheet of a character that’s in a campaign, on a campaign’s main page, and within Encounters.

I like how more words are written about buying their pretty dice than are written about the function of the game log.
Welcome to dnd beyond! Where we have fancy dice! One writer, the lead one! (James) lots of forum games! Plenty of bad homebrew! And a sprinkling of good homebrew as well, you know, for flavor! We have digital books! Digital books that you have to buy even if you own the IRL version! Fancy! Lots of fun magic items! Plenty of articles talking about kandlekeep! Even more talking about TCoE! Even more about RotFM! Twelve wonderful classes bursting with potential power! (Excluding ranger) To many settings to count! Wildmount! Sword coast! Barovia! Ebberon (a entire continent? Fancy!) Come one come all, to the mystical land of dnd beyond! Any are welcome!
Where does the DM get to roll?
@Dredion313 I created an encounter and then used the custom dice roller in the bottom left corner. You could also just go to any character sheet and do the same if you don't want to create an encounter. There's no automatic dice rolls like there are for players.
I'm sure they'll find someone new eventually... In the meantime, some experienced player who isn't necessarily an official writer should start making articles!
Now you need an option for the DM make the rolls and use the dice.
here here- yes!
The Game log is soooo helpful in my campaign!
Here is to that day being sooner rather than later.
We tried it for the first time at the weekend, it needs the clickity clack of dice rolls when anyone rolls, also the DM needs to be able to roll as DM and be able to roll in secret. Otherwise it worked fine..
I love this feature! That said, when can we get the ability to roll attacks from our encounter builder? And when can a small stat block (like current and total HP, primary stats/saving throws, death saves, AC and save DCs) for our PCs?
Please can you add a button to clear the log...
I love the log, but the DM needs a button to clear the log. So that he can get a fresh log between encounters or sessions.
please dndbeyond we crave combat tracker-
so AWESOME!!! Could you add a monster HP roller for the Combat Tracker too? just like the initiative roller :D
I love the Game Log. I wish we could reset it somehow though.
For the love of dnd, can we PLEASE move the written dice results and the log to anywhere other than the bottom right corner, where all of my dice land? I can't see them unless I turn the results/log off, which really hurts the value of having the dice at all.
Anyway to clear the game log as campaign owner? Have it reset for each new session?
Love the log, hate the randomizer.
As a DM I dislike that the log does not stay "stickied" open while on the run encounter view; really counter intuitive.
Edit I am a rube and there is a lock button hidden in the black area up top. Making a large enough encounter let me scroll down.
