Homebrew "Kraken" Species Details

It's the legendary sea creature known far and wide as the kraken! Don't look at the seems and that's all you'll ever need to know.

"Kraken" Traits

A normal and awesome monster! that looks just a little off.

Broken Guise

Upon being hit by an attack, you're guise breaks, stopping the damage and any effect that comes with said attack. When the guise breaks, you become tiny sized, your move speed decreases by 20%, your charisma is set to 0, and your prone until you're next turn in combat. Once Broken Guise activates, it can't activate again, unless you spend a long rest repairing the guise. Upon repairing the guise, your size returns to gargantuan, your move speed is set to its default, and your charisma is set to its default. You can't repair your guise if Broken Guise hasn't been activated.

False Knowledge

On any knowledge check, you may choose to roll a d4. On a 4, you get the right answer, and everyone believes it to be true. On a 3, you get the answer right, but no one believes you. On a 2, you get the answer wrong, but everyone believes you. And on a 1, you get the answer so wrong that no one believes you, and question if you actually are a kraken, activating Broken Guise.

Big Boy

So long as Broken Guise isn't active, you have +50hp, -5 on all dexterity checks, -4 on initiative, you deal double damage on all melee attacks, you are unable to fit in a space that isn't at least 100ft by 100ft by100ft, +10 strength, and +5 on intimidation checks. If Broken Guise is active, these modifiers are no longer applied.

Darkvision

You can see up to 50ft in front of you in dark environments, so long as nothing (besides darkness) is obstructing your vision
