Choose a creature that you can see within range. A surge of positive energy washes through the creature, causing it to regain 70 hit points. This spell also ends blindness, deafness, and any diseases affecting the target. This spell has no effect on constructs or undead.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the amount of healing increases by 10 for each slot level above 6th.
I think it’s crazy that a 15th level alchemist artificer can cast this for free once per long rest
I've always thought that about spells. Power Word Kill? Why would I want to kill a power word, and why would I spend a level 9 spell slot to do it? Just confusing.
yeah i wish they would add a tag for it in search, either alchemist, or chemical savant tag. would be nice if subclasses were filterable too
so there's an npc we were very close with, but he's now turned mad with irrational fear and paranoia, coming from long trauma he experienced while being lost in the wild for many years. he's borderline hostile towards us, despite our every attempt to pacify and bring him back through peaceful means. he's run away from us then, but now we've located him. i dearly want to save him, he was a very close friend to us. i tried remove curse, that didn't work. i just levelled up, and as a last resort to save him, I'm considering taking Heal , because the spell says it ends any diseases affecting the target. i could be wrong, but would irrational fear and paranoia be considered a sort of mental illness i.e. a disease? i am not mental health expert, but this is d&d and I'm hoping the words "any disease" cover not just physical but mental ones as well. Any supporting thoughts on this, or am I clutching at straws here?
