At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 1st.

What if a creature uses an ability that grapples and throws you? Like, for example a Kraken. You don't take damage from the Kraken, but the fall damage instead. Could you still use hellish rebuke on the Kraken if the damage came from the fall, and not the Kraken?
