Posted Sep 13, 2024Now I'm even more confused at what constitutes the "Necromancy" school of magic.

Posted Sep 21, 2024How so? This seems to fit well into the part of Necromancy that deal with disease and such.

Posted Sep 28, 2024So the 2024 Great Old One Warlock who uses the 3rd level Psychic Spells feature can essentially inflict 1d12 Psychic damage? Interesting.

Posted Oct 2, 2024Benefits more from eldrich spear compared to eldrich blast, but benefits less from repelling blast and agonizing blast since it is still only one attack rather than several. Short window of time where this is more damage than EB. Could go hard with legacy death domain cleric

Posted Mar 8, 2025d12 attack cantrip. Super fair so long as every single enemy is resistant or immune.

Posted Mar 27, 2025Now it's better. Attack rolls are generally better than forcing an enemy to make a CON save.

Posted Jun 8, 2025Hmmm... I think the only way I would consider using this past tier 1 is if I had a way to sustainably change the damage type. I think the only way (please feel free to correct me) is as a 6th level Undead Warlock, since it qualifies for Grave Touched now that it's an attack roll.
If you're determined to build a Warlock around a cantrip that's not EB, that seems like a neat option to look at. Adding an extra d12 while Form of Dread is active is a nice boost to make up for the EB synergy with Agonizing Blast. Not to mention you could take Eldritch Spear, too, to improve the only 30ft. ranged attack cantrip in the game.
