You move your hands and whisper the words "grey squirrel grey squirrel shake your bushy tail" as you toss three acorns into the air or use your focus. Suddenly, a cannon magically develops in a spot 5 feet in front of you. During your turn, the cannon will shoot 3 squirrels at rapid speed at whatever targets that you choose. Each squirrel (granting it hits) does 2d10 force damage to the target and, immediately after, dissipates into thin air. After the three squirrels are shot on your turn, the cannon also disappears.
A creature must make a DEX saving throw (equal to your spell save DC) if they are targeted. If they fail, they take full damage. If they succeed, they take half damage.
If you use a higher level spell slot to cast this spell, the damage increases for each squirrel (i.e. 3d10 at 4th level, 4d10 at 5th level, etc.).
* - (3 acorns)
what does "granting it hits" mean? It implies making a spell attack roll but none is called for. please clarify so i can use it in my dnd game :D
It means if the attack roll with the squirrel is successful
