Base Class: Monk
When you follow this monastic tradition you harness the power to be one with nature and trees around you. By focusing your ki, you are able to be connected to the roots of the trees beneath your feet and feel them grow and bring life to what's around them. Members of this tradition spend their lives carrying for the nature around them and respecting the influence they have on every being.
Many monks of this tradition tattoo their bodies with symbols of nature, such as trees, vines, leaves, and flowers.
Nature's Blessing
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use your ki to call upon nature's magic creating the effects of certain spells. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to cast Spike Growth and Barkskin without providing material components. You can also spend 3 ki points to cast Plant Growth and Speak with Plants. Additionally, you gain the Druidcraft cantrip if you don't already know it.
Rooted Strength
At 6th level, you gain the ability to root yourself on the ground absorbing the power beneath you and using them in your attacks. Whenever you hit a creature with an attack using the damage die of your Martial Arts Feature you can use part of your movement to instead imbue your attacks with nature's power, for every 5 feet of movement used you deal 1 extra force damage. These attacks become magical if they aren't already.
You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus until you finish a long rest.
Tree of Soul and Body
Beginning at 11th level, you can enter a state of becoming one with the tree's around you. As an action, you can touch a tree and link your body and soul with it. By spending 4 ki you become one with the tree as together you become a Treant.
You can stay in this form for an hour or until you drop to 0 hit points or die. Your game statistics, including mental ability scores, are replaced by the statistics of a Treant. You assume it's hit points but you retain your alignment and personality. When you revert to your normal form, you return to the number of hit points you had before you transformed. If you revert as a result of dropping to 0 hit points, any excess damage carries over to your body. As long as the excess damage doesn’t reduce you to 0 hit points, you aren't knocked unconscious.
Once you use this trait you can't do so until you finish a long rest.
Branching Grasp
At 17th level, you gain the ability to extend your arms like branches to have more control around the battlefield. Whenever you hit a creature with the first attack granted by your Flurry of Blows you can extend your arms and target a creature you can see within 15 feet of you. When you do you gain the ability to grasp your arms around it.
If the creature is one or more sizes Smaller than you, the creature is pulled in your direction until it is within 5 feet of you.
If the creature is one or more sizes Larger than you, you can launch yourself towards that creature until you are within 5 feet of it.
If the creature is of the Same size as you, you can choose one of either of the effects listed above.
Once you are within 5ft of that creature you can do the second attack granted by your Flurry of Blows feature.
